Opposition politician, also in jail in Russia, Ilya Yashin congratulated Alexei Navalny on his birthday:
"Alexei!
I don't know when you'll be able to read it, or if you'll read it at all.
But I want to say that you are a flint and I am proud of our friendship. Every time despondency creeps up on me in prison, I remember how you behave in your torture conditions and what will you show. And then I mentally stand shoulder to shoulder with you, and there is no trace of despondency.
I firmly believe that we will win.
Happy Birthday bro! Let the force be with you". (link)
